The Wedding Dresser was an idea that blossomed over a period of time when a friend was looking for a wedding gown in Australia. After finding it difficult to find something unique, and at reasonable cost, she found a boutique dress supplier who dealt mainly with one off couture.

I decided when I moved to the UK from Australia in late 2010 that I would provide a service for brides looking for a beautiful gown, that was reasonably priced. Not everyone can afford thousands of pounds for a wedding gown after all and I don’t believe it should cost a significant part of a wedding budget. That’s not to say that less expensive gowns are less quality though. Beautiful can be affordable.

My suppliers are mainly Australian including some small boutique designers and we use a range of fabrics besides the more traditional satins and taffetas, including chiffon, organza and lace. This means that my dresses are not too heavy and can easily be packed for an overseas wedding.

The Wedding Dresser offers a bespoke service tailored to your requirements. So we visit your home with a range of gowns in your size completely free of charge (within a 20 mile radius of The Wedding Dresser postcode - otherwise petrol charges will apply but the service is still free). If you like one of our dresses you are then measured by a professional wedding dresser and your gown ordered. Alternatively, you can visit The Wedding Dresser for the same service.
